In Loving Memory of Rev. Dr. Peter K.H. Lee, a former faculty member of LTS
The Rev. Dr. Peter K.H. Lee, a former LTS faculty member, rested in the Lord on July 15, 2026, at the age of 96. Dr. Lee was a pastor of The Methodist Church, Hong Kong. He served as a visiting lecturer at LTS from the early 1980s. He became our full-time professor from 1996 to 2004, teaching in fields including religion and culture, systematic theology, and spirituality. Even after stepping down from his full-time teaching post, he continued to assist with teaching, supervise theses, and serve as our consultant for the Doctor of Ministry program. Dr. Lee made outstanding contributions to the development of theology grounded in the Chinese context. He was a highly prolific author. Even in his nineties, he still visited the LTS Library from time to time to conduct research and write.
We are deeply grateful for Dr. Lee's immense contributions to LTS and the broader theological community, and for the inspiring example of his scholarly spirit and life witness to our faculty and students. We express our profound condolences to Dr. Lee's family and to all members of The Methodist Church, Hong Kong. May the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with them all.
