Torleif Elgvin is professor emeritus in Biblical and Jewish Studies from NLA University College, Oslo, Norway. Since 1992 he has been involved in deciphering, interpreting, and publishing the Dead Sea Scrolls, ancient Jewish writings from the last two centuries before Jesus. He has his Ph.D. on some of these scrolls from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
