SYMBOLISM OF THE LTS LOGO
The LTS logo represents in symbolic form the commitment and orientation of the Lutheran Theological Seminary in its response to the challenge of the Gospel for the theological education responsibilities of the Church today and in the years to come.
CIRCLES | The outer circle represents the world as the context for the ministry of the Church in Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, and the whole world as symbolized by the inner circle. Together the circles represent heaven and earth with respect to the constant changes in God's world and the manifestation of heavenly hope. |
RINGS IN THE CIRCLES | The golden rings suggest that heavenly bliss is more precious than the most precious of metals or human possessions. |
OPEN BIBLE | The Scriptures is the source of knowledge, doctrine, study and Christian life – all centered in Christ, the living Word who is the Alpha A and the OmegaΩ |
CROSS-NESTORIAN | The Nestorian cross is a symbol of discipleship in Christ – victory over death and eternal life in Christ Jesus, in whom theological education is centered. Its four points proclaim reconciled relationships with God, people and the world. The Nestorian design points to the rootedness of Christ in Chinese history. The hooks at the ends represent the shepherd's staff - a symbol of the ministry. The four small dots around the center refer to the four founding churches of LTS. |
POINTS OF THE CROSS | The dots centered in the tips of the rose petals and at the ends of the cross proclaim the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. |
HEART | The heart in red represents human life, faith, hope and love under God in Jesus Christ. |
ROSE | The rose in white, taken from Luther's seal, is a sign of saints and angels - those covered by the white cloak of Christ's righteousness - a sign of faith, joy, peace and comfort. |
BLUE BACKGROUND
| The blue background represents heavenly joy and confidence in response to God's grace, forgiveness and acceptance into His Kingdom through baptism. |
NAME
| The Seminary is confessionally Lutheran but aims to serve the whole church in the unity of Jesus Christ and His redemptive mission. |

Anthem
Text: Chi-pong TO
Music: Victor CHAN

Born of Lutheran faith and mission,
You’ve led us to Tao Fong Shan.
Through a hundred years You've taught us,
Now the Spirit send us on.
Let us go as gospel servants,
one in heart with love for all.
Giving our lives like our Savior,
God has blessed us, God be praised
